Helen Choi earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her teaching and scholarship focus on the literature and culture of 20th-century U.S., with particular concentration on the intersections of aesthetic, political, and cultural movements in the period. She is currently at work on a project provisionally titled Vox Pop Modernism, which examines the collision of American literature with the politics and technologies of vocal mass mediation in the 1930s.
