Faculty members can nominate a student for one of these awards.
- The Elisabeth Luce Moore Award in International and Religious Studies is given to a student who demonstrates outstanding academic potential and gives promise of contributions of unusual stature to the fostering of international understanding and/or to the appreciation of religious values. The award amount is $500.
- The William and Teresa Meyer Award for Asian and Middle Eastern Studies is given to a student whose major concentration is pertinent to Middle Eastern or Asian Studies (Israel, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Burma, Thailand, China, Korea and Japan). The award amount is $500.
Please contact Undergraduate Academic Affairs office and they can help guide the recommender and the nominee through the process.
The nomination file should include:
1.Two letters of support, one of which should come from a faculty advisor
2.Student resume and a comprehensive personal statement detailing current work and future plans related to the theme of the award
3.Official or unofficial copy of transcript
Please forward all relevant nomination materials to my attention no later than February 15th to.
