Summer
Camp drop-off is at 8:30 a.m., and a supervised game room is available
beginning at 8:00 a.m. daily for those needing early drop-off. Drop-off
will be in the “Stadium Events” parking lot, located behind
the Stony Brook Union, next to the Sports Complex. Most of our campers
are dropped off and picked up by their parents but if your child requires
transportation, we offer designated drop-off bus transportation for an
additional cost. Camp activities begin at 9:00 a.m. and run until 4:00
p.m. There will be a $50 weekly charge for those requiring a late pickup,
which is 5:00 p.m. During this daily extra hour, campers will play quiet
games in a supervised game room.
Each camper will receive one free camp T-shirt. Campers are required to
wear their camp shirt every day for identification purposes. Parents are
encouraged to purchase extra shirts, which will be available at a nominal
cost. Campers must also bring a bathing suit, a towel, and a water bottle
every day that are clearly marked with their name.
We strongly discourage our campers from wearing jewelry or bringing valuable
clothing or accessories (video games, toys, etc.) to camp. We also request
that campers between the ages of five and six bring a change of clothing,
including underwear and socks, in a sealed plastic bag with their full
name clearly marked on it. These items will be stored in a secure facility
throughout the duration of the campers’ stay.
Discounts
• Sibling discount: There will be a $50 discount given for each additional
sibling registering for camp. Please fill out a separate form for each
child.
•Faculty/Staff Discount: There will be a 10% discount on tuition
for all children of Stony Brook University employees.
• Early registration discount (5%) given to applications received
prior to February 15, 2002.
Absences
Due to Medical Reasons
For absences exceeding five days, a credit will be issued upon receipt
of a doctor’s note.
Deposit/Application Fee
A $150 deposit plus a nonrefundable $25 application fee is required by
May 16, 2002. All balances must be paid in full prior to June 1, 2002.
Deposits are nonrefundable after June 1, 2002. All cancellations must
be received in writing. No telephone cancellations will be accepted. Please
note that there will be a $25 fee for all returned checks. Upon receipt
of your application, you will be mailed a confirmation packet that will
include drop-off and pickup information, a campus map, a health form,
and a contract. Please note that the health form and signed contract must
be returned to our Camp Office no later than June 7, 2002.
