URECA PROJECTS
The Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URECA) sponsors the annual URECA Art Exhibition working with Professor Toby Buonagurio; and the annual URECA Student Music Recital, working with Associate Professor Perry Goldstein. Outside sponsors in past years have included Gallery North, and the Ridotto Series (Huntington).
Students also present at our annual URECA Celebration on a range of topics (women’s studies, political science, economics, etc.) who have not received funding but have done independent study under the supervision of faculty. In addition, the URECA Celebration also features departmental conferences in English, and History where undergraduates give oral presentations of papers/research and creative work (poetry). Faculty involved this year with the departmental conferences include: Professor Bente Videbaek (English), and Professor Wolf Schäfer (History). Some of the events of the Celebration are also coordinated with the annual SSK Student Arts Festival.
