Holiday Schedule For RF Employees

Classes will be in session and offices will remain open Columbus Day, Election Day, Veteran's Day, Lincoln's Birthday and President's Day. Supervisory approval is required before holiday leave is taken.
- Full-time Employees
- Regardless of his or her work schedule, he/she will receive holiday leave for all holidays whether the employee is scheduled to work that day or not. The maximum holiday leave credited will be 7.5 hours for a 37.5 hour work week or 8 hours for a 40 hour work week.
- Those who take leave on a holiday will receive a full day's pay. If the employee works on a holiday, he or she will earn the holiday.
- Part-time Employees
- He/she must have a work schedule on file with Human Resource Services showing that the day in question is normally a work day, to be eligible to earn the holiday.
- Who take leave on a holiday will receive pay for the hours he or she is scheduled to work. If the holiday falls on the weekend and this is not part of the employee's normal schedule on file with Research Foundation Payroll, the holiday will be earned. If the employee works on the holiday he or she will be paid the straight time rate.
- For All Employees
- Use of holiday leave should have advance supervisory approval. The Research Foundation encourages employees to use leave within a reasonable period.
Holiday leave, if not used before termination of employment, will be lost.
