Visiting Scholars Program

Visiting scholars supplement the intellectual resources of the Program through diverse activities. They give public lectures in community outreach programs, and sometimes teach courses in the undergraduate curriculum. They also play an important role in our Korean Studies Seminars for faculty, visiting scholars, outside researchers, and graduate and undergraduate students. Recent topics the Seminar covered include the works of Tasan, the prominent Korean Neo-Confucian scholar of the 19th century, the Neo-Confucian Heart Scripture, the main Taoist texts, Korean shamanism, etc.

For detailed information on the application procedures and administrative requirements, please contact the program secretary.
