Computing InsideWhat is the minor in Science and Engineering?

Through courses, taught at the Living Learning Center and campus wide, and informal interactions with faculty and other students, the Science and Engineering minor (department code LSE) will help you learn about the many careers available in science and engineering and how these careers relate to each other and to society.

What are the requirements of the minor?

SkeletonThe minor requires 19 credits completed with a letter grade of C or higher.

You do not have to live in the Living Learning Center to minor in Science and Engineering. However if you are a residential student, we encourage you to do so.

  • Majors in engineering disciplines must take 12 credits of approved natural science courses.

Majors in the sciences must take 12 credits of approved engineering courses

All other students must take at least 6 credits of approved natural sciences courses and 6 credits of approved engineering courses.

Using the InternetWhat activities take place in the Science and Engineering Living Learning Center?

You will benefit from the interdisciplinary nature of a Living Learning Center, which breeds cooperation and reciprocity among students with diverse talents and backgrounds. Peer advising, tutoring and college skills training are provided to all Living Learning Center students.

  • Science and Engineering Job Fair
  • Observing the skies through the campus telescope
  • Seminars on how to design your own web page, online shopping, and other topics
  • Informational presentations on the Society of Women Engineers, getting into medical school, combating stage fright, resume and interview skills, and more
