Apply for a Parking Permit
- Faculty/Staff Permit
- You may apply for a parking permit as soon as University records show your status as an active Faculty/Staff/Affiliate/GSEU.
- Life Sciences 1 & 2 Permits
- Faculty/Staff/Affiliate/GSEU members may also place themselves on the Life Sciences 1 & 2 parking lot permit waitlist at anytime. Life Sciences 1 permits only allow permit holders to park in the Life Sciences 1 parking lot, and Life Sciences 2 permits only allow permit holders to park in the Life Sciences 2 parking lot. Life Sciences 1 & 2 parking permits are issued to eligible Faculty/Staff/Affiliate/GSEU members on a first come, first served basis utilizing a waitlist process. Please be advised that any Faculty/Staff/Affiliate/GSEU member who does not maintain "active" status at any point in time, will automatically be removed from the waitlist.
Important: Waitlist applicants will be notified about space availability via email. Please make sure that you have registered a valid email address in the SOLAR System. It is also suggested that you add parking@stonybrook.edu to your address book to ensure that you receive emails from us.

Renew a Parking Permit
Parking permits are not renewed automatically. You must renew online using the Stony Brook Parking Permit System by clicking the link below.
