RED HOT ROAD TRIP

In the past few years hundreds of Stony Brook University students, faculty, administrators and staff have descended on the State Capital in Albany with banners, buttons, brochures, and boundless energy and enthusiasm.  In 2008 we were more than 1,000 strong.

Because of the dire budget situation this year we have decided to scale back this annual event, keeping the usual 50 teams, but having only two to three people per team: a student, a faculty / administrator / staff person, and possibly an alumnus.

As in the past, the teams will meet with at least five legislative members and/or their staff, there will be a box breakfast and box lunch provided, but no reception and no marching band.  Instead we will carry our message in smaller numbers, but with the enthusiasm of the thousand who would have wanted to attend.

Buses will leave from South P lot at 6:00 am and return by 7:00 or 8:00 pm.
