Stony Brook University Academic Departments - College of Arts and Science

Stony Brook University's College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) comprises a broad array of academic departments and programs in the fine arts, humanities, social and behavioral sciences, physical sciences, and mathematics.

At the undergraduate level, CAS offers 36 majors and 39 minors leading to the B.A. or B.S. degree. In conjunction with the Graduate School, CAS offers 27 programs leading to the Ph.D. as well as other advanced degrees and certificates.

CAS brings students together with faculty who are not only dedicated educators, but also leaders in research, scholarship, and creative expression.
