Our Mission
The Stony Brook University Red Hot Marching Band provides university students with the opportunity to pursue music performance and leadership experiences in a curricular setting. Participants in SBURHMB will be expected to learn and perfect musical and marching skills through the rehearsal and performance of a varied repertoire of marching band music and drill. The SBURHMB will support Stony Brook University events through the performance of traditional marching band music and routines creating a sense of spirit and tradition on the Stony Brook campus. SBURHMB members will be encouraged to excel academically and socially and to accept leadership roles in the band.
