Q. Who will give me a security access card to Stony Brook Manhattan? Who gives me a faculty locker and combination? Can I use a desk in the Faculty Office?

Q. What entrance can I use to access the classroom spaces? Where’s the entrance to the administrative area?

A. Students and faculty should use the entrance at 110 East 28th Street and proceed to the second floor.
The entrance to the administrative area is at 401 Park Avenue South.

Q. How much does it cost to use the classroom spaces for Stony Brook University classes? Does my department or program have to pay a fee to use one of the conference rooms or the reception area for a special event?

A. No rental fees will be charged for the use of classrooms and other rooms for special events, alumni gatherings, lectures, or meetings. Departments and programs are expected to pay for all other expenses, such as catering, invitations, etc.

Q. Can I reserve a conference room or classroom for the use of a non-profit organization separate and distinct from Stony Brook University?

A. The Stony Brook Manhattan facility is reserved for Stony Brook classes, meetings, and Stony Brook-related events.

Q. When is Stony Brook Manhattan open?

A. The classroom facility is available for use seven days a week for day and evening classes. Stony Brook University is required to hire security guards for all scheduled classes. The administrative offices are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and evenings when necessary.
