2005 NEWS: 2005-2006 Intel semifinalists include: Alan Chou who worked with Dr. Tzfira (Biochemistry); Rachel Goldstein who worked with Dr. Canli; Catherine Kelso who worked with Dr. Simmerling; Evan Lazer who worked with Dr. Qin; and Gavin Lund who worked with Dr. Djuric. 2005-2006 Siemens Westinghouse Competition semifinalists include: Alan Chou who worked with Dr. Tzfira (Biochemistry); Daniel Hefter who worked with Dr. Rafailovich (Materials Science); and Toby Klein who worked with both Dr. Chu (Chemistry) and Dr. Rafailovich (Materials Science). Congratulations all!

November 2006 - Jonathan Kao received the best student paper award from the ASME fluid division, at the IMECE 2006 Chicago Congress, for research work done as a high school student in the Simons Program under the mentorship of Dr. Daniel Attinger. Jonathan is now a freshman in Stanford. The work was also featured in the May 2006 edition of the New Scientist. Congratulations Jonathan!
