Program Description
Stony Brook University offers students the opportunity to wake up to an enchanting view of ancient architecture: the Colosseum, St. Peter's Cathedral, Piazza Venezia, and other historic landmarks. Take a walk over to one of the several beautiful Roman beaches. This high quality study abroad program is modestly priced, which enables a wide range of participants to gain firsthand knowledge of contemporary Italy. A challenging academic program offers comprehensive understanding of Italian culture, history, heritage and traditions.
The artistic traditions and present-day cultural vitality of Rome offers students numerous opportunities for personal enrichment. In conjunction with the art history classes, visits will be made to the city's artistic and historical landmarks. Weekends will be spent on cultural excursions exploring the richness of Italy outside of Rome.
Historically, Rome has few peers. Whether you are a student in the arts, humanities, architecture, social sciences, international business, or any other major, Rome is the ideal city in which to learn, live, and explore.
"The Eternal City," is not only rich in history and culture, but it is also a thriving modern metropolis. Rome offers students a multitude of opportunities for personal enrichment.

Double occupancy and three meals a day. All rooms include air-conditioning, private bathrooms, television, and telephone.

Stony Brook University offers international health insurance to all participants.
Eligibility
All undergraduate college students in good academic standing may apply. Language proficiency is NOT required.
Program and Tuition Fees
Program fees: Approximately $3,055.* Includes housing, board, excursions, local transportaion, entrance to museums, and medical insurance.
* does not include airfare and administrative fees
Undergraduate Tuition costs: $181.00/credit for NY residents; $442.00/credit for out-of-state residents
Graduate Tuition costs: $288.00/credit for NY state residents;
$455.00/credit for out-of-state residents
