Jonathan Levy is Distinguished Teaching Professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook; Distinguished Bibliographer at Arizona State University; member of the Advisory Committee for the Office for the Arts at Harvard and consultant to the Humane Creativity project at Harvard's Project Zero. He is the author of many plays for adults and children, with and without music, as well as several works of scholarship and criticism. He chaired the development of the Theatre Arts curriculum for the International Baccalaureate and is now the member for North American of the International Baccalaureate's Academic Advisory Committee. In 1996, he was named the outstanding teacher of theatre in American higher education.
