This administrative academic unit oversees a variety of academic programs
that provide services to populations with special interests, abilities,
needs or circumstances.
Innovative programs, specialized advising, and enrichment opportunities
are offered to students who are academically talented as well as those
who need academic support.
Duties of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs office include:
- Coordinating the nominations for prestigious external scholarship
and fellowship, as well as internal award opportunities within the
University.
- Coordination and administration of Honors College, Freshman Learning
Communities, Living Learning Centers, Undergraduate Colleges, URECA,
Multidisciplinary Studies and Social Sciences Interdisciplinary.
- Hosting the Academic Judiciary Committee and the Committee on Academic Standing
and Appeals for the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the School of Journalism,
and the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences.
